INFORMATION The first writing assignment Writing and Me is due on 18 February. The essay is to be up to 500 words/ 1-1.5 A4 pages (spacing 1.5) in length. For information concerning layout see Style Sheet. You may also consult Evaluation Criteria. Copies of the materials distributed at seminars are available at the department (Küütri 2-301) in the folder "Writing Course", which is placed on the shelf left to the door. |
NB! This is a practical
course
conducted in a form of a seminar and therefore, to get a grade a student is required to have attended at least 75% of the seminars, which means that no more than 4 seminars can be missed. Writing assignments must be handed in by the set deadline, unless students have a valid excuse, in which case the instructor should be informed in advance. Late papers will lose 1 point a week (the maximum a student can get for a short writing assignment is 8 points). All writing assignments must be handed in for a student to get the final grade. If a student cannot attend a seminar, the instructor has to be informed about it in advance either personally or via e-mail. |
