For any algebra A of the variety generated by the class of all Stone and Kleene algebras we construct its extension B with the property that every local polynomial function of A is the restriction of a suitable polynomial of B. Moreover, we characterize local polynomial functions of A as compositions of polynomials and special unary functions.
