This event belongs to a series of annual workshops that initially have been held at Kääriku (near Otepää), but now have extended its range also to Northern Estonia and Northern Latvia.
Besides algebra, the topics will include the usage of algebraic methods in computer science, topology, geometry etc. We ask you to let us know about your wish to participate by sending an e-mail to valdis.laan (at) ut.ee by April 9.
All participants will be offered an opportunity to present a talk. Those who wish to give a talk are asked to send a title, short abstract and the duration of the talk (we suggest 25 or 50 minutes talks) to valdis.laan (at) ut.ee . Speakers can use a computer with a data projector for presenting their talk. A small white (or black)board will also be available. You may use this template file for preparing your abstract.
The workshop will take place at the Tamme puhkemaja (Tamme resting house, http://www.hot.ee/tampuhkemaja/) in Vadsa village in South-Estonia between Rõuge and Haanja, 90 km south of Tartu. Transportation from Tartu to the venue and back will be organised by private cars. Accommodation in 2 or 3 bed rooms will cost 250 Estonian crowns (about 16 euros).
If you have any questions between April 16 and 22, please contact professor Kalle Kaarli (kaarli (at) ut.ee).
