Lesson 3 overview

During this lesson we will learn a few really useful and commonly used GIS functionalities using Geopandas, namely:

  1. Conducting Point in Polygon queries

  2. Making Spatial joins

After this lessons’ lesson you should be able to:

  • Conduct a Point in Polygon queries

  • Read data from GeoJSON and GeoPackage files

  • Make spatial and table joins between layers and lookup tables
